Shawn is best known for his large and dramatic sculptures
 
Often he reflects the spiritual iconography of the British Isles. He continues to produce a prodigious amount of high quality thought-provoking worked Shawn Williamson has worked with stone from an early age. He originally worked with Josefina de vasconcellos who was a pupil of Bourdelle who in turn was a pupil and assistant to Rodin. Shawn has lived and worked in Cumbria for many years, inspired by the dramatic landscapes. Cumbria is unique in the world through its geological diversity. Writers and Artist have been drawn to the fells over the years to experience the last of the ancient wilderness.    His monolithic stone sculptures have been commissioned and sited all over the Britain. He works in a number of different styles using traditional techniques. He values the consultation process with the client so that final sculpture becomes well integrated into its setting. Shawn will guide the client through the various development stages from his 2 dimensional sketches to three dimension sketch model.
